The problem

Daily commuters needed an affordable and convenient way to travel while reducing transportation costs and empty vehicle usage.

Commuters paying full fare for solo rides, or driving near-empty vehicles, were bleeding money on trips they could have shared — without route-based matching, every empty seat was a cost nobody could recover and a missed chance to make daily travel cheaper for everyone involved.
