AI Copilot Development Services
Copilots that live inside your software and help each user with the next step: drafting, summarising, finding and doing.
OZRIT builds AI copilots into products and internal tools. They use the data each user is allowed to see, suggest actions in context, and carry them out with one click, so people finish work faster without leaving the screen they are on.

AI copilot development, explained
The best copilot does not wait for a question. It offers the next useful step.
An AI copilot is an assistant embedded in an application, working with the user rather than in a separate chat window. In a CRM it drafts the follow-up email; in a support tool it suggests the reply and the policy behind it; in an ERP it explains why a number changed and prepares the correction.
What separates a useful copilot from a gimmick is context and control. It needs the right data for that user, respect for their permissions, suggestions that appear at the right moment and actions that can be undone. OZRIT designs the user experience, the retrieval, the model prompts and the safeguards together.
We usually begin with two or three moments in the workflow where users lose the most time, build the copilot for those, measure adoption and accuracy, and then extend. The result can ship as a feature in your product or as an internal tool for your own teams.

AI copilot development services we offer
From the experience inside your screens to the retrieval and safeguards behind it.
Copilot product and UX design
We design where suggestions appear, how they are accepted or dismissed, and how trust is built over time.
In-app drafting and summarising
Emails, notes, reports and records drafted or condensed from the data in front of the user.
Context-aware suggestions
Next-step prompts based on what the user is doing, their role and the state of the record.
Natural-language search and Q&A
Users ask questions in plain language and get answers from their own data, with sources.
One-click actions
Suggestions that can be applied directly, such as creating a task, updating a field or sending a draft.
Role-based data access
Retrieval and actions follow each user's permissions, so the copilot never reveals what they could not see.
Feedback and learning loops
Accept, edit and reject signals tracked and used to improve prompts, ranking and quality.
Usage, quality and cost tracking
Dashboards for adoption, accuracy and model spend, so you can see the value and keep costs predictable.
How we build an AI copilot
Six steps from a workflow review to a copilot your users keep switching on.

Design and prove
First copilot feature in 4 to 8 weeks
- 1
Map the workflow
We watch how users work and find the moments where time is lost or errors creep in.
- 2
Choose the first moments
We pick two or three high-value suggestions and agree how each will be measured.
- 3
Prepare data and permissions
We connect the data the copilot needs and make sure it follows your access rules.
- 4
Build and prototype
We build the suggestions, prompts and interface, and put a working version in front of real users.
- 5
Evaluate quality
We test accuracy, tone and safety against real examples, and tune until the results are reliable.
- 6
Launch and extend
We release behind a feature flag, track adoption and add the next moments as results hold.

What decides the cost of AI copilot development
A copilot is priced by how many workflow moments it covers and how deeply it connects to your data.
Moments in the workflow
Each suggestion type needs its own design, prompts and testing.
Data sources connected
Every source the copilot reads adds retrieval and permission work.
Actions it can take
Applying suggestions in your system needs integration and safeguards.
Quality bar
Regulated or customer-facing copilots need larger evaluation sets and review.
User volume and model use
Running cost depends on how often suggestions are generated and by which model.
Ongoing improvement
Tuning from user feedback is agreed as a monthly plan.
Security and privacy in AI copilot development
A security or compliance team will ask where the data goes, who can see it and how quality is checked. These are the safeguards we build into every project.
Where your data lives
Models can run in your own cloud account or on private endpoints, with provider settings that stop your data being used for training. You choose the region.
Access control
Assistants respect the permissions of the person asking. Someone who cannot open a document cannot get its content through a chat window either.
Testing before launch
We build an evaluation set from your real cases and measure accuracy, safety and cost before and after every change, not just once at launch.
Certification and ownership
OZRIT is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified for information security. You own the code, prompts, models you commission and your data.

AI copilot development: frequently asked questions
Straight answers on cost, timelines, data, security and ownership.
What is an AI copilot?
An AI copilot is an assistant built into an application that helps each user with the task in front of them. It drafts, summarises, searches and suggests next steps using the user's own data and permissions, and can often carry out the action with one click.
How is a copilot different from a chatbot?
A chatbot is usually a separate conversation. A copilot is part of the workflow: it sees the screen's context, offers suggestions at the right moment and acts inside the application. Many copilots also include a chat interface for open questions.
How much does AI copilot development cost?
The cost depends on how many workflow moments it covers, the data it connects to and the actions it can take. A discovery sprint from $1,000 designs the first copilot moments and ends with a scoped quote.
How long does it take to build a copilot?
A first copilot feature usually takes 4 to 8 weeks to a working release behind a feature flag. Broader coverage and deeper integrations take longer, and we agree the plan before you commit.
Can a copilot respect our permissions and data privacy?
Yes. Retrieval and actions are filtered by each user's access rights, sensitive fields can be masked, and models can run in your own cloud account with no-training settings. We design this in from the start.
Can we add a copilot to our existing SaaS product?
Yes. We add the copilot as a feature of your product through APIs and a front-end component, behind a feature flag, so you can release it to a few customers first and expand as it proves itself.
Which models do you use for copilots?
We work with models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta and Mistral, and we pick on quality, response time, cost and privacy. Different suggestions in the same copilot can use different models.
How do you stop a copilot giving wrong suggestions?
We ground suggestions in your data, show sources, set confidence thresholds, test against real examples and let users edit or reject. Where errors would be costly, a person reviews before anything is sent or saved.
How do you measure whether a copilot works?
We track adoption, the share of suggestions accepted or edited, time saved on the task and quality scores from reviewers. These are agreed up front and reported on a dashboard.
Who owns the copilot we build?
You do. The code, prompts, retrieval pipelines and documentation belong to you, apart from third-party models, which remain under their providers' terms. We explain those terms before you choose a model.
