Intelligent Document Processing Services

AI that reads invoices, contracts, forms and ID documents, pulls out the fields you need and sends them to your systems.

OZRIT builds document AI that replaces manual data entry. It reads documents in many layouts, checks what it extracted against your rules, and sends only the uncertain items to a person, so volumes grow without the team growing with them.

Intelligent document processing, explained

Every document your team retypes is a small delay and a small chance of error, every single day.

Intelligent document processing, often shortened to IDP, combines optical character recognition with language and layout models to turn unstructured documents into structured data. It handles invoices, purchase orders, contracts, bank statements, claim forms, identity documents and scans that arrive as photographs or PDFs, in layouts nobody standardised.

Accuracy comes from the whole pipeline, not one model. It starts with cleaning the image, then reading the text, finding the fields, validating them against rules and master data, and routing low-confidence results to a review screen. OZRIT builds the review screen too, so corrections are quick and the system learns from them.

We prove the approach on a sample of your real documents, report accuracy field by field, and then connect the output to your ERP, accounting or case-management system. The aim is a straight-through rate you can measure, with humans handling only what genuinely needs them.

How we build a document AI workflow

Six steps from a pile of documents to measured straight-through processing.

Engineers and designers building an AI system together, with data, apps and models connected to a central AI core

Prove and automate

Proof in 2 to 4 weeks

6 steps, each ending in something you can review before the next one starts.
  1. 1

    Collect representative documents

We gather a sample that covers your suppliers, formats, languages and awkward cases.

  2. 2

    Define fields and rules

We agree which fields matter, how they are validated and what counts as acceptable accuracy.

  3. 3

    Build and test extraction

We build the pipeline and measure accuracy field by field on documents it has not seen.

  4. 4

    Add validation and review

We add rules, matching and a review screen so uncertain items reach a person quickly.

  5. 5

    Integrate with your systems

We connect the output to your ERP, accounting or case system and test the whole flow.

  6. 6

    Monitor and improve

We track straight-through rate and errors, and retrain as new document formats appear.

Document AI use cases

Where intelligent document processing returns time fastest.

  • Accounts payable

Capture supplier invoices, match them to purchase orders and prepare them for posting.

  • Banking and lending

Read statements, payslips and ID documents to speed up onboarding and credit decisions.

  • Insurance claims

Extract details from claim forms, reports and bills, and route cases by type and risk.

  • Legal and contracts

Pull key terms from contracts and compare them with your standard positions.

  • Logistics and trade

Process bills of lading, delivery notes, customs forms and packing lists.

  • Healthcare administration

Digitise referrals, lab reports and insurance forms, with review for sensitive fields.

Intelligent document processing for your industry

The same build applies across sectors, but the data, rules and risks differ. These are the industries where we are asked for it most.

What decides the cost of document AI

Document projects are priced by how varied the documents are and how strict the accuracy must be.

A discovery sprint from $1,000 tests the idea on your own data and ends with a scoped quote. Team rates are on How We Work, or you can hire AI developers directly.
  • Variety of layouts

Many suppliers and formats need more testing than a few consistent templates.

  • Document quality

Poor scans, photographs and handwriting reduce accuracy and need extra handling.

  • Accuracy and review rules

Stricter targets mean more validation and a larger review workflow.

  • Languages and scripts

Additional languages and scripts add tuning and test data.

  • Integration scope

Each system that receives the data adds mapping and testing.

  • Volume and hosting

Document volume, speed needs and private deployment affect infrastructure cost.

Security and privacy in Intelligent document processing

A security or compliance team will ask where the data goes, who can see it and how quality is checked. These are the safeguards we build into every project.

  • Where your data lives

Models can run in your own cloud account or on private endpoints, with provider settings that stop your data being used for training. You choose the region.

  • Access control

Assistants respect the permissions of the person asking. Someone who cannot open a document cannot get its content through a chat window either.

  • Testing before launch

We build an evaluation set from your real cases and measure accuracy, safety and cost before and after every change, not just once at launch.

  • Certification and ownership

OZRIT is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified for information security. You own the code, prompts, models you commission and your data.

Intelligent document processing: frequently asked questions

Straight answers on cost, timelines, data, security and ownership.

What is intelligent document processing?

It is the use of OCR, layout analysis and language models to read documents and turn them into structured data, with validation and human review for uncertain results. It goes beyond basic OCR by understanding fields, tables and meaning.

How is IDP different from OCR?

OCR turns an image into text. Intelligent document processing also works out which text is the invoice number, the total or the contract date, checks it against rules and routes doubtful items for review. The output is data your systems can use, not a block of text.

How much does document AI cost?

The cost depends on the variety of documents, their quality, the accuracy needed and the systems to connect. A discovery sprint from $1,000 tests the approach on your own documents and ends with a scoped quote.

How accurate is document extraction?

Accuracy depends on the document type and quality. We measure it field by field on your documents, and design a review step so that low-confidence fields are checked by a person before they reach your systems.

How long does it take to build?

A proof on a sample of your documents usually takes 2 to 4 weeks, and a first live workflow typically takes 6 to 10 weeks. Many layouts or complex integrations add time, which we plan before starting.

Can it read handwriting and poor scans?

It can read legible handwriting and improve many poor scans with image cleaning, but accuracy is lower than for clean print. We test on your real documents and send doubtful fields to review.

Does it work with Indian languages and mixed-language documents?

Yes, within the limits of the OCR and language models available for each script. We test on your documents, report accuracy by language and add review steps where accuracy is lower.

Can it connect to our ERP or accounting software?

Yes. We send extracted and validated data through APIs, file exports or database connections to ERP, accounting, CRM, loan or claims systems, and we can match invoices to purchase orders before posting.

Is our document data kept private?

We can run extraction in your own cloud account or on-premise, mask sensitive fields, limit retention and control access by role. OZRIT is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified for information security.

Do we still need people to review documents?

Fewer, and for the right items. Clear documents flow straight through, while low-confidence fields and rule failures go to a quick review screen. The share that flows straight through is a measure we report.
